Using one or both help in providing individualized plans. I like to compare this to throwing darts, if you have not been tested we typically are “throwing darts in the dark” and trying to get to a root cause that may not be whereas adding testing can help us “light up the dartboard” and get to the underlying cause much more efficiently.
I use a “food first” approach and rely on food as medicine as my primary treatment. I try to be mindful of when recommending a test or supplement, however there is no requirement for testing or supplementation to work with me.
